Importing IPB into XenForo

Hi everyone.

I've been using IPB for several years now, but recently the site has been crashing multiple times and I'm beginning to tire of it. Right now, my IPB board is broken and can't be used.

If I purchased XenForo, is it possible to import my current IPB board into XenForo? Will it work here despite it not working on IPB?

If yes, how would I go about importing my IPB board into XenForo?

Thanks in advance,

Thanks for the help.

Just another question - if my IPB site isn't currently working because of a fatal error *due to a plugin*, will a migration to XenForo also fail?

We only need the database and data files (avatars, attachments, etc). Generally speaking, add-ons shouldn't interfere.

Should have no problems. I have imported from MyBB, and it is a pretty straight forward process. I do recommend doing a test import or two, to see if everything checks out. I too had addons on my MyBB site, and XF does not care about it!

Add-ons won't be an issue. The importer will strip non-vanilla tables from the database during the import process so it won't matter and should import properly without issues. :)
