Import images from threads

Can I import pictures from a thread into any gallery category? that is very important for a photography website

It isn't possible at the moment.

I would like to import youtube videos from rss to XFMG and without an addon to do it (the only one actually if from only from a banned dev) a "side" solution could be import them in threads and then convert threads to XFMG items.

No it hasn't been implemented and there aren't any short term plans to do so at this stage.

I'm quite surprised there isn't a function like this to connect the two products together.
Half the battle with social media nowadays is ease of use.

The gallery is an ideal solution for image intensive forums, a must have even.

Making members use it as a separate function is counter productive and is just something else for them to learn. I really want to use it but until the functionality to transfer attachments posted in forums to a users gallery exists I can't really do so, it just won't get used.
