Import from Vbulletin

I'm going to import my forum usign the importer supplied by xf or the one by Paul M.

One thing I wanted to check was that my current database is a bit messey from plugin that have been isntalled in the past and there bits of stray data all over it.

If I do a importer will it help cleanse the data that I've got and get rid of all the suff thats not needed?

The importer will ignore any additional tables and fields which it cannot map to in the XenForo database.

You don't have to do anything.
Just import what you have. The rest will be ignored.
