XF 1.1 Import from 1.0.4 - 1.1B2

Heya

I wanted to start a fresh in terms of add ons with our beta site, so have installed from fresh, but is there a way to import posts, users etc into the beta site? It will not be used for 'live' purposes, just to see what is going to work etc.

It's not possible to import from XenForo to XenForo.

You could try copying all of the user, thread, post, conversation and other related tables, but I don't have an exact list.

Why not just uninstall all add-ons and remove the files?

You could copy everything to another folder

make a new database and upload your forums database, change the config to point to the test db and upgrade it

Cheers guys - I have 1.1 installed on a temporary subdomain until we switch the main site to it - which I will be holding off on until all our current used add ons are supported. When this happens I will just upgrade the main install and bin the subdomain content.

Does that make sense? I think Shadys suggestion would be the way to go....

Uploading/importing the existing database won't give you the fresh start you said you wanted.

Everything except attachments and avatars is stored in the database.
