Implementing User Albums

Hello,

I run a car fourm and would like to give a specific group members the ability to create their own Albums and manage their personal content in them. I think I am getting confused or conflating the 'Media' vs. 'Album' concept. Is 'Media' just - a view of everything you've put into albums?

How do you implement your albums? Limit number of albums per user group, media types, etc. What has worked well for you. In general, my users are dealing with image files.

That's possible using user group permissions.

So, it looks like Albums access are a dependency of Media permissions? Unless I missed something... I had to grant xfmg media permissions as well.
It's working for users I added to the group I created. xf v2.2.1, mediagallery v2.2.0 (upgrade will happen this week.)

That stands to reason - members can't create albums if they don't have general access to the media permissions.

It's akin to giving permission to create a thread but not to view the forum.
