The script you linked to doesn't work.

There is a better script, but I can't find it. It grabs everything, even images.

    Keep looking

I have this done on a standalone page now...just needs working into a bbcode format...when I finish it will be a mediasite with url matching auto-embed.

I don't have a timetable as to when I will finish it, but with no guarantees I can say that once I update my mediasites addon and finish one small other task I will pick this up and finish it.

    Are MediaSites your hobby?

LOL that's funny...nope learning is my hobby...generally speaking I do them for everyone.

The easiest way to learn is practice and mediacodes with php callbacks and url regex matching provide me a way to practice writing code in a way that can benefit more than myself and is repeatable and the nuances between different bbcodes give me plenty of new things to learn.

To answer that directly...I do them for me, and I share them because to not would be wasteful...as I don't even run a forum.

this is the other little thing I am working on...
http://xenxero.com/twitter/?tweeter=xenforo (you can swap xenforo with any twitter id)

it is a rough up of what I am doing, just need to figure out how to handle two more things with it and I can easily convert it to a bbcode, the thing I need to figure out also happens to apply to the IMDB bbcode but since the other thing needs is way less involved I will figure it out with it and make the changes to the imdb one to suit. Basically they both work on the same principle except twitter has an easy way to fetch the data...the imdb one I have to manually grab all of the data that I want.
