Are you using MySQL 5.6? After upgrading to 5.6 I haven't had any table crashes

I think he knows how, but means why he should use MariaDB over MySQL. At the end of the day, MySQL will be a more secure project imho, whilst MariaDB is perhaps a faster alternative? It's just personal preference.
