Never have, never will. Not even videos or downloaded music. As someone who has lost earned income because of thieves it's a respect that I give.

Sound proud but it's hard to believe, using PC for so much years already and with all the stuff around which costs more and more money that's not possible beside if you have really lot of money. I respect the developpers too, this is why I bought the xenforo license and all the paid plugins I'm using, this is why I'm buying all my games and as much as I can of the software that I'm using, but even that there's some exlusions for stuff that is too expensive for me.
Out of the above everything I'm saying about the xenforo plugins is that it's useful to try them before buy them, that saved already lot of money for me.

I have thousands of dollars in XF licenses and probably over ten in custom development and paid add ons.

Whether or not you use pirated resources as a way of demoing said resources... It's pretty wild to still justify things, and do so publicly. It's a great way to get blacklisted by resource providers or at the very least never get support as it's clear your personal ethics and morals are questionable.

And taking a face of a moralist is a stupid game, you could spend milions for addons or whatever you want, but how much of them were reasonable?
I've paid a lot for addons for that board too but I like to test something before buy it, this is why I have a local server, those addons are expensive, lot of them are crazy expensive over the background of 300 dollars for the barre xenforo platform and not all of them works as expect, if you have enough money to spend it for nothing most peoples doesn't.

Hmm never thought to ask a developper about that, but I even don't know how he would give a try without give access to the addon.
And piracy would be if you use the addon on your site, to test on local is not.
I understand there in the usa is different to here in Europe but here is like that.

Until I'm paying for what I'm officialy using I'm not a part of that problem, what happens in my home in my own network is only my business and not effect anyone.

Yeah, that doesn't stop piracy. Easy to null a license check, as we have seen given this thread! Those systems use tokens as verification.

So what if it doesn't stop piracy. What does is having your service copyrighted.
I had to do this with my logo because one guy decided to use my stuff without permission.
Anyone that tries that gets an instant $600 bill that they must pay.
