Probably wasn't well thought out to begin with if they can't manage to remove dead forums from the forum showcase on this forum though (and essentially a duplicate feature that probably took more time than just redesigning the node view template to have the title, image, URL, short description in the list) unless they're giving the customer showcase a "dofollow" link [mobile so can't check]).

The resource and thread have been deleted due to the references to a piracy site, which is against the site rules.

However, that is not evidence nor proof of piracy, so no action will be taken against the account unless it is provided.

I could register on any of the piracy sites and use the user name and avatar of someone from here and judging by some of the posts in this thread, that would be grounds for having them banned.

Provide irrefutable evidence and action will be taken.

It's not necessarily about being a saint. Some of us rely on royalties from copyrights for a living - hence piracy and copyright theft affects us directly. So I don't make illegal copies as I like to live by the same principles I hope for from others (I almost wrote "expect from others" but sadly I have enough experience to know how widespread this careless attitude to intellectual property is.
 
I remember a site that used to make free style sheets for xf 1 and 2.
They had collected somebody elses work and used it as their own.
Those of who used their skins were asked to stop.
So now we just use bought ones.
 
Hi, @Ozzy47 I haven't been active here in the XenForo community for a while. I saw the resource, downloaded and tested it, and since it worked as expected, I left a like as a sign of appreciation. My intention was entirely in good faith, and I have never supported nor do I support piracy. That said, thanks for pointing it out—I’ll remove it right away.

P.S.: It’s quite strange that it managed to pass XenForo’s filters and get published. How did that happen?!

Because there are no filters in place. And probably pretty hard to setup filters for to begin with.

I think it's a free useful addon, that nobody make and share it on xenforo.com
I post and link to author.

That addon safe and clear, @Yenxji why you defame it because a name, that addon is shared for free and does not harm to website.

I'll share my own addon at next time.
 
The issue is you shared a link and an addon from a pirate site, and judging by the email in the screenshot you provided, it appears that you are the founder of the site.
