I Am Considering Buying XenForo. Some Questions...

I joined this site because of one feature, the pop-up window when switching styles.

Sounds corny but I'm addicted to styles. I have almost 30 installed on my own site.

That's the reason I joined. I wanted to see larger screenshots of the styles people have posted.

It won't let me view. How come?

Another reason I joined is that I need the ability to customize RSS feeds. vb4's options are limited.

I also wanted to customize my blog section more. Does XenForo have blogs?

I want to give members the ability to customize the background of their own blogs.

I have asked for help and received none. Not even in the Paid section of vb.org

Does XenForo have a Content Management System like vb4 as well? What about a Photo Gallery?

Does it have an Arcade modification? Casino???

You must be a paying customer in order to view attachments, etc.

XF does not have blogs. They may come in the future, but there is no promise at this time.

There is an add-on portal here.
A photo gallery add-on is in the works, but no idea when it will be ready.

No arcade for the time being. Kevin at v3Arcade plans to port that arcade over at some point in the future, but there are no immediate plans.

I am using Flexile Dark style for xenforo, presently breaking Thesis apart and reorganizing to resemble xenforo. it is morphing as we speak. LOL
I have some tricks for dual navbars, one above and one below the header ..

masterchief.com

rip it all you want, as it is nowhere close to completion

For all that it is worth, I have found Thesis theme for Wordpress just as customizable as we like for xenforo to be... it is a commercial theme.
peace.

I use Stylizer and Firebug for customizing CSS

Oh snap @ this alert's option. I'm really starting to like XenForo.
Trust, XenForo is beast and after using it for like a day I knew all the rest are whack in comparison. They way XF is built will allow for just about anything a developer can come up with to be built into it. Also XF is at a release candidate state meaning it's not even at a true 1.0 and that's another reason why XF is beastly...it competes with other software as a puppy while all the other big dogs get clowned by the underdog. If you stick around I'm sure you'll end up here right with me as a happy customer.

Question about the blog system integration with XenForo.

If I integrated my XenForo forum with Wordpress, when members want to blog, do they have to sign up for wordpress too?

It's a great shame non-customers cannot view attachments in some of the forums here. Seeing what XF can do, its potential, is a critical part of the decision process and currently this is closed off to us. Especially so as we would rely on third party plugins to make up the shortfall in features. Without being able to see these in action makes life hard. Take note all you developers: Always include a link to a live demo in your posts. Otherwise us lowly non-licence holding riff raff cannot see your work!

I agree with you. Non-license holder should be able to view screenshots (attachments).
It does help making a decision when looking at modifications and planning a possible move.

That's mainly because at the moment, attachments are treated as a single entity, there's no separation between screenshots and the ZIP files. I'm sure if there was a distinction between the two, non-customers could at least view screenshots.

Exactly, which is why I've had to use my host to host full size previews of my submissions at my site. While we are on the subject, it would be nice if guests can view full sized previews but not download the attachments. I really like the uploading manager and even more so using it but having to link to previews from my host is time consuming when the image uploader option to allow guests to view 100% without the ability to download attachments would be very much a welcomed option. (btw this isn't a request to allow non licensed customers to view full size but a request to be part of the core)

Back to the OP question. Authors or most of them have online demos available, and the people posting support and questions within those respected threads are using the style/addon, graphic pack so you'll be able to view it first hand at their sites, most have the links in their profiles or signatures.
