XF 2.1 .htaccess

It seems we have a lot of baggage from our xF1 .htaccess that might not be needed in xF2. I'm not even sure what most of it is... although there seems to be a lot of lines commented. If I am using URL canonicalization is there any need for any of this other than restricted admin.php?

Can someone help me clean it up please... don't wanna mess anythign up. Thanks!

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" seems like it would be valuable advice here. Errors in your .htaccess file can break your site with server error messages or blank pages - and errors can incoude even simple punctuation errors.

No need to worry about the commented out lines. They aren't hurting anything.

I appreciate that philosophy dj, but it won't help what we are trying to accomplish. We are not sure that our current .htaccess may not be causing some issues with an add-on that won't work, so we'd really like to get a default .htaccess in place. We tried it and it gives us a blank white page... so some part of it may need to be there... just not sure what.

Anyway... I'll open this thread in the custom service thread to get offers for paid help.
