XF 2.1 How to turn off profile comments

To prevent a lot of spam, how can we turn off the profile comment feature?

AdminCP >> Groups & permissions >> Permissions >> User group permissions

{select user group} >> Profile post permissions

Set all of these to No:

• View profile posts
• React to profile posts
• Manage profile posts on own profile
• Post new profile posts
• Comment on profile posts
• Delete own profile posts
• Edit own profile posts

This only prevents the user from interacting with their own profile. Other members can still post on the profile of users with all these permissions revoked.

I can't seem to figure out how to block all members from being able to either view or post on the profile of all members in a particular restricted usergroup.

Can anyone think how I can do this?

I don't think I ever did anything to solve that and it fell by wayside, but I did end up creating an add on to remove the ability to follow someone

This is a small add on that adds an extra permission. This permission allows admins to revoke the ability for users to be able to use the follow functionality. This can be useful if users are abusing the functionality or if you have membership...
