How to stop links being auto generated

Hi, im having some real problem disabling links in the messages. Is there a way to turn this feature off.

Links are auto-parsed.

The only way to stop them from being parsed is by using the plain tags.

That got it thanks. Been trying for the past 30 mins with diffrent browsers, the BB editior, placing them under CODE, HTML, PHP and QUOTE but the link stayed blue and active.
Never would of though of adding "plain"
