XF 1.4 How to hide private forum posts from forum statistics

Hi Guys,

I have a few private forums and their post counts are showing in the total forum statistics.

How do i stop this. People with limited access are realizing there are other sub forums they can not see.

That's just how that count works; it doesn't reflect permissions. Short of custom development to change this, the only other option would be to not display it (forum_list template).

Appreciate the speedy answer.

I would not base the forum stats on user permissions but whether it was a private node or not.
I.e have a tickbox that says " count these messages towards total forum statistics "

Anyway, Thanks again. I will need to find a work around.
