How to hide a forum section with permission

Hi,

I have problem hiding a forum section for regular members not member of a certain group. What's the right way to accomplish this?

Revoke access for the Registered user group and allow it for the other group.
Or set it as a private node and allow access for the group.

Node Permissions -> <forum your talking about> -> Registered Members:

Set everything to 'Not Set'.

Node Permissions -> <forum your talking about> -> Other Group:

Set the ones you want to 'Allow'. The top 2/3 should be set to 'Allow' at least, or it will be hidden.
