How to get more visitors (SEO an option?)

Hello everybody!

Got a website made about 3 weeks ago, i am trying to get more visitors for my page. I have my website hosted by Bluehost and bought my domain from godaddy and i keep seeing options to pay extra for Seo services/help from specialist. Was wondering if this is a valid option for me to grow my website as i am in hopes of making it a viral website for gamers.

I am not sure if these services are useful as i know my site is made by xenforo and not wordpress so i was curious as to what is the best route to do this.

Content, content, and content is the best way to get people to your page. Make sure it is unique and engaging. Once you have lots and lots of that, then the search engines will index you and when people search for something and your site has it, you will be listed as a suggestion.

I wouldn't pay for SEO services to optimize Xenforo. There just aren't that many levers to pull.

Building a community is a slow long build. It's going to just take a while, but make sure you engage your audience and try to build content like @ozzy47 said.

You might want to narrow your focus of "Gamers" You will attract more "fan-based" "viral" attention if you specialize in a sub-genre -- one game and one kind of player. true but the again hiring writers to create and add content is clearly fake; genuine visitors would catch on and may not join up to contribute.

Not always. If you pay 50 cents an article, sure. But f you recruit some of your members/incentivize them to write stuff with swag, $$, or more, it will work out in your favor in the long run.

the only issue is even if you get paid content, which is never from the heart so not genuine, will this actually trigger off genuine members and genuine content?

haven't big forums like digital point , warrior forum or forex factory started with genuine members with authentic (unpaid) content?

You can pay writers to write content that doesn't suck. I don't mean forum posts, like actual half decent articles and useful/informative content that people can use.

If you're thinking about paying for conversational forum posts, just forget that. It's a waste of time and money.

Better off running a Facebook group at that point.

yes, so hopefully if i do as you say then authentic members and content will begin to populate my forum.... my forum subject is a huge market so it will grow.

and any particular seo xf add-on you love most?
