XF 1.5 How to disable email without errors?

I am currently running a demo version of my website so that my members can try XF out and provide feedback.
I have turned email functionality off because I do not want hundreds of thousands of users to get email from a demo site.
This results in a lot of errors which is problematic because I need to keep a close eye on the error log. How do I prevent these errors? What settings should I use?

Add this to your config.php

$config['enableMail'] = false;

I use Email Transport to /Dev/Null, This way the email system is enabled but it just goes nowhere. This is a more development add-on, but it lets you log to the error-log email info which can be useful for troubleshooting email notifications without email being completely off.
