That works as well as (in EXTRA.css)

.messageText {
font-size: 15pt;
}

For Google Fonts I gladly point you towards http://xenforo.com/community/resources/serve-google-fonts-locally.1860/
There is also (in the discussion topic) instructions on how to use them by serving them from Google's site.
