XF 2.3 How to add your own animated gifs to giphy?

I'm looking to add my own animated gifs to my gif section and block all the giphy ones that come up on search.

Giphy is an external service, so if you want to add content there, you have to use their tools and follow their guide.

I can't seem to find the TH Giphy add on. Maybe it was discontinued?

Why would you need an addon? The function is built-in to XenForo. (Here)
If you want to add content to Giphy to use on your site, you still have to do it from here. (using the instructions in my previous post)

TH Giphy was an old addon that provided the function prior to integration into XF core.

I started researching how to integrate giphy into xenforo and it took me down a rabbithole and lead to a themeforest addon, they still have a download area on their site to get a TH giphy addon. I'm new so I don't know the history of what was changed in the past.

Thanks for the directions, I did upload a few gifs to my giphy account but there is no information on how to link these to my XenForo account. Any specific help would be appreciated.

you cannot limit gif search to your uploads though.

One work around that I just tried is just uploading your own gifs into the smilie section and placing them into their own category. The thumbs are a bit on the small side but maybe that can be changed. I wonder if I can duplicate the smilie function twice in the text bar and just name it forum gifs.
