XF 2.1 How far off are languages between 1.5 and 2.1?

I see that 1.5 has a language that 2.x does not yet have. Is it possible to carry a 1.5 language file over and edit remaining phrases or are the two completely incompatible and would I have to start from scratch?

Yes, your translation will carry over from your XF1 install to the 2.x upgrade, then you would only need to translate new phrases.

I don't have an xF1.5 install, just see the XML files for the 1.5 language. Can these import or would I need to do 1.5, install language, and then upgrade to 2.1?

I do not believe the 1.x language xml will work with 2.x, but I am not 100% certain.

Well I'll give it a whirl, but at least I know I can do a 1.5, install language, and upgrade worse case. Thanks!
