XF 2.2 How do you make someone staff?

I'm sorry I can't figure it out. How do you make an administrator staff?

If you mean appear as staff, it's in the member page in the ACP.

When I try to do that I get this:

You have to enter your password when editing admin accounts.

It's already there. I deleted and re-entered it.

OK for some reason it was saving my old password.

Now can I edit a member so he can't ignore that admin?

members cannot ignore members with actual admin powers. not sure if that also apply to super moderators. above setting does not give the member mod/admin powers to the best of my knowledge.

do you want to make this member an admin with equal powers as yourself?

look at these sections:
admin.php?moderators/ for mods
admin.php?admins/ for admins

also just checked. members cannot ignore moderators as well. so that's nice.

ooh. that is not a great idea in general unless you trust the person completely.

anyhow. just go through the links in the above post and make that member a super admin from backend panel.

It's really me. I use that "official" member to post factual information. I use "myself" to post my opinions.

It's already set up that way.

if super admin setting is enabled, he should basically have the same features and powers like your primary admin account.

Can I edit the member so they aren't ignore that admin? Maybe it shows ignore the list but it's not ignored?

always best to create a test member account and test it for yourself! admins and mods cannot be ignored by regular members from what i have seen on my own board!
