XF 2.2 How Do I Get Members Birthday To Show?

Hi.
I know that if you click on the members then todays birthdays they will show but I would like them to show on the main page, is there a way of doing this please?
Would like it near members that are online

You can use a widget.

There is one called "Today's birthdays".

Add it to the forum list sidebar.

Thanks Brogan. I am not sure what I am doing with the widgets, after I posted this I did notice that I can do it that way but what do I enter for the key?

Anything you like, as long as it's unique.

You are unlikely to use the key - it's only for adding widgets directly to templates, e.g.

<xf:widget key="my_key" />

Try this : in widget_birthdays template replace <xf:avatar user="$user" size="s" img="true" /> by <xf:username user="$user">

Or better right in front of the name?

Believe me I have tried. But only the adress of the image shows up. No image.
So I need an image code I guess, and I need to know where in the script I shall put it..

I tried to copy the image and paste it, but that did not work
Also tried to link it, but that didn't work either

Is there a way to put a , (comma) between those who have Birthday?
Today, there are three people having Birthday and there is no , (comma) between the names

I have a question about this too. Presumably members birthdays only show up if they've entered their dob in their profile? I'm actually wanting members pets birthdays to come up So where could they enter the date for a pet's birthday so it comes up on the widget?
