XF 1.4 How do I get and RSS feed from a blog to show up on XF

How do I get and RSS feed from a blog to show up on XF?
Or any RSS, I did this a few months ago and cant for the life of me remember how I did it.
Would be great to have on the sidebar rather then a node .

I am not heavily familiar with RSS, so trying to figure how to do this, searches on here find allot stuff but nothing that pins it down how to display an RSS on a sidebar or node from a outside source easily.

In terms of default XF functionality:

Admin CP > Applications > Registered Feeds

That will pull a feed into a forum as threads.

Hi Chris,
I did not see in the thread a place to add the RSS feed and think thats where I lost my way.
Just have not done it enough to recall the process .
Can you tell me the input for the thread to pull it into them?

I don't understand what you are asking.

The location indicated in my last message is where you configure a feed to be pulled into a forum as threads.

Right, but in the thread I see no place to input a rss code , thats where I am losing the steps.

You don't put the RSS code in the thread, you configure it in the ACP.

Hi Brogan, ok .......now i got it I was looking at the options > NewsFeed area.
Ok there goes a duh moment . Thank you all wow. I had to cups of coffee when I wrote
apparently didnt help. Thank You ,.

I'm back, tried all sorts of RSS feeds and cant get it to import in XF.
I know the feeds I want to use work as I get them in my rss reader and other sites.
But can get XF to read them, no errors. Am I missing something ?

Hi there I grabbed a couple I have been testing, the first is verified working on XF three months ago but does not now.

These a few examples, my blogger account and my rss reader both work fine with these as well as SMF so pretty sure there are no issues with the RSS even tried forwarding them as well with feedburner. I get about oh 30 RSS feeds a day from various places but I have the old rrs feed as mentioned http://www.nraila.org/ilarss.aspx that worked fine three month ago upon activating it too does not work however is active elsewhere on my other reader on my pc too , makes me think something is not set right somewhere.

All of the example feeds work fine for me.

Can you explain, step by step, exactly what you are doing, what you are expecting to happen, and what is actually happening?
