I have a new forum, and want to give my users an impression that the posts are not that poorly viewed :ROFLMAO:

How do I change the setting so that the view times will accumulate, no matter the click is from a same registered member, a same computer, or a same IP address?

    Thank you.

There is no duplicate view count "skipping". Every time a thread is viewed, it will be logged and periodically updated.

Thanks, but I just tested it again. The count number won't increase at all, by opening and closing the post multiple times myself.

It updates via a cron task.

I opened the post, wait 20 seconds on the page, and come back to check the view times, it never changed.

As I said, it updates via a cron task:

    Thank you for the picture.

Sorry but would you mind to elaborate on this? I have no idea what cron task is.

They are scheduled tasks that run every so often (e.g., every hour).

I see. Thanks for the explanation.

Anyone knows why they do it this way? I used to have phpbb. It updates instantly.

It's much more efficient to batch these updates together.
