XF 2.0 How can I update my meta tags?

A friend just told me my meta tags are empty. He said for SEO purposes I should fix it. How do I go about doing that?

Date and image meta tags have error, unknown format.

Checked by google html structure data.

This 2 tags were missing in previous versions. Now they are there but not configured properly.

It does not stop google from indexing.

But only few urls from my site are indexed so far.

You've got to have some yarbles, as the kids would say, to let Google index a site running beta software. But I understand the thrill of living on the edge. It has drawn so many of us to the dark side...

For what it's worth, I don't see the same problem, and without knowing which meta tag(s) your pal was referring to, it's hard to say anything about anything.

How do I check them? Maybe he just doesn't know what he's talking about.

There are a million metadata checking sites, but there's only one you really need to be concerned with: https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool

That won't tell you if anything is missing, because theoretically only a few very basic meta tags are required on a web page. Once you get past those, there are an endless variety of opinions on how to implement metadata.

Which means you can't really check for what your friend believes is missing, you have to ask them. Or you could just trust that the Xenforo lads will get it right. Either way.

That's why I suggested that maybe you should just trust the guys who are building this thing to take care of business (TCB, as Elvis said). I wouldn't worry about it.
