Can I run xenforo on a none dedicated machine, instead use something such as https://cubedhost.com/billing/cart.php?gid=7 shared web hosting? And would I still get my instillation onto that?

Sorry if this is the wrong section, it wont let me post anywhere else..

Lots of installations run fine on shared hosting.

It really depends on your forum traffic/size.

ok, Would 50GB disk space be more than enough for a small starting about website, wont have too many members, or resources.

We're running our forums on a shared server with a static IP. It works very well.

We've been up two months now.

We can add more storage memory and bandwidth when needed.

I'm running my forum on a shared server too. It's ok, but if you expect to have lot's of online visitors, maybe you should go with VPS.

Also some add-ons require VPS or it's better to have it.

    Otherwise no complains.

The server our forum is on is an IP based VPS.

Great. Well, I have shared one. Still can have many add-ons if they are not too greedy for resources.

But ofcourse there are other limitation with shared server too.
