Add-on Highlight posts in a thread?

What we want to do is have a way for staff to highlight helpful posts in a thread. All it would amount to are styling changes to the post container and/or some kind of indicator (perhaps an icon or banner in the postbit) for each post highlighted.

Does any such thing exist?

I'd attempt this myself but my coding days are well in the past.

It is permissions-based? I like to have moderators get access to it of course, but we also have a "contributor" level for those who create content, and we'd extend the permission to them also.

Same here. Alas. My work is winding down (declining business, plus I'm burned out with all things computer- and online-related), yet I am eyeing a part-time well-paying job with a perfectly flexible schedule, thanks to an opportunity near me. But I have a feeling that with the current situation in this world of ours, I'll never be able to fully retire.
