XF 1.1 Hide images from guests

Is there anyway to hide images in threads so guest will not see them

It's a user group permission.

Everything else is set to never.

I have set my Xen Media Gallery so guest cannot see images now with any linked images to a post they see a broken link http://www.justbikez.com/index.php?threads/cool-bike-photos.308/

Guests aren't permitted to view media.

The view attachment permission applies to images uploaded to threads, not embedded from elsewhere.

For reference, this is the URL of the image you are embedding: http://www.justbikez.com/index.php?media/cool-bike-photos.160/full

Click on that as a guest and see what happens.

Ok you lost me here as I don't see any permission in the usergroup for this other than View attachments to posts. Also with this to not allowed they still see the thumbnail http://www.justbikez.com/index.php?threads/test-thread.663/

Now as far as the Xen Media Gallery goes how am I going to mange this and not show broken image links

In this thread we have three types of images posted http://www.justbikez.com/index.php?threads/cool-bike-photos.308/

1. From the Media gallery (guest do not have permission to view these) - You get a broken link notification on photos linked from the gallery.
2. Photos links from other sites - we see the full image here
3. Attachments - we see a thumbnail but when a guest clicks on it the get directed to the login page

The thumbnail is the correct behaviour for visitors who don't have permission to view attachments.
Clicking it will give them a permissions error.

Allow guests to view the gallery if you want them to see images which have been uploaded to it.

I'm not sure why you think it would work any other way.

This is the thing we don't want guest to see any images as there maybe adult content from time to time

So the broken images from the gallery is actually what you want?
And you also want to be able to completely block thumbnails of attachments and hotlinked images?

No I don't want then to see broken images rather a message saying you need to be logged in to see images. The same goes for all types of images posted.
