Send the bill to Clint... he can afford it!ROFLMAO - I'm sending you an invoice for a new monitor *tries to clean coffee off monitor*
I have requested the refund on this thread and via private message so i await a message from PayPal informing me of the refund.
Any luck with this refund? Or has Matthew skipped town?
He hasn't been on since yesterday at 7:23 PM PT, so probably hasn't skipped town.
No havnt heard a thing, i have linked PayPal with this thread of proof of what has gone on... If he doesn't issue the refund then PayPal will just take it from his bank account (as they do)Any luck with this refund? Or has Matthew skipped town?
Oh wow... just now seeing this topic.
Is he still no where to be found for you guys?
The reason why I ask, is he was helping a bit tonight on some customization for us.
I am now going to revoke his rights to proceed any further, until I hear he pays @WirralTalk back.
@Matthew Hawley when are you going to refund @WirralTalk ?
It is in your best interest to apologise and refund him the money. You are getting a very bad rep based on this thread and im sure word of mouth will slowly reach everyone on this site to simply avoid using you or even installing any of your addons if you fail to recognise your totally unprofessional attitude in regards to this whole episode.
and to think i gave you admin permissions for a few hours. thank god my site didnt get screwed over as you were too busy too work on it at the time.
@Matthew Hawley if he handles paypal are you able to call him up and ask him to do it? It's like 3 clicks when you're signed in and would be the right thing to do especially if it's sitting in the paypal.
Well, yes I guess I could call him. I will do it tomorrow.
Lessons to be learned by both parties here. Always do your research before hiring someone. Even some basic thread searching will usually turn up quite a bit. Fortunately for you, malicious intent wasn't the cause of the problem. Just lack of experience.
Conversely, even if you're not very new to doing certain things, always let people know what your level of experience is. They should know going in what you're capable and not capable of. And always ask for a test site/style to do your edits in.
If you did, you wouldnt have written this postI knew how to do the job successfuly. ....

As Jedi says hopefully its a learning experience for everyone involved and all onlookers as well. I, myself will be more stringent on who i hire to do work for me as a result.
