XF 2.1 Google IMAP Support

Hi guys,

Google is making some changes in the new year to IMAP support. Long story short, they are removing support for IMAP where it is just a Username & Password login in favor of OAuth.

It doesn't look like there will be other options other than IMAP using OAuth. Unfortunately it is looking like they're removing the option of having it completely rather than something we can turn on or off.

Are there any plans for a future XenForo update to accommodate this change?

What's next if Google is killing off Less Secure Apps. My emails are routed through gmail, do I have to use a different SMTP or is there a better way around this?
