Hi, today I bought hosting from GoDaddy and soon I'll probably be buying XenForo. So, anyway, I was just wondering what you have to do with the files in the FTP thingy because I already see there is loads of files already in the FTP area which means nothing to me. When I had XenForo back in 2013 (different account) i just used a free host thing, but this is something different.

I just want some help and guidance for/if I do buy XenForo so I know what I'm doing. :p

Once you purchase a license, you will be able to post in the customer support forums where support will be provided in order to install the software.

Free hosts typically don't support XF and even if they did, you would still have to upload the files to the server.

I can promise you that you will get help once you are licensed. There are a few folks (one being me for example) that - as time allows - provides free help in just those aspects.
