Implemented  Give us the option to choose what we receive alerts for

maybe in the alert dropdown, have a little 'x' and if you click on it, a popup says, "delete this alert, or all alerts of this kind" on top of it being in the preferences as a quick way thats user friendly.
 
When I got my first alert I was stoked... but I can image when they start stacking up it would get rather annoying potentially :D
 
It's hard to keep track of alerts and visit the alert links when you've got more and more alerts rolling in ;)

I know what you mean... I felt like I was waiting for a call from a girl and the voicemail light was on. LOL

That's why I click the "Your Account" link when I have a lot. Otherwise I have no problem with using the alerts tab.

It just gets hectic first thing in the morning because I usually wake up with 25+ alerts or more.
 
I'm up to over 100 pages of alerts (about 1500). I wake up with 20 or so, and they keep flowing through throughout the day. it's not that hard to manage really, just open a lot of tabs :)
