Getting rid of /forums and/or replace it

Hey guys!

My vBulletin installation is currently located in /diskussionsforum which is the German translation for 'forum' (or discussion forum to be exact). It was not the smartes move but it's in this directory for almost six years now.

Now if I move XenForo to that directory replacing my vB installation I end up with /diskussionsforum/forums/… for all the threads and posts and the Url doesn't look nice.

Can I somehow get rid of /forums or can I replace it with something else? If the latter is possible, I could just rename it to 'diskussionsforum' and my problems are gone.

It has been asked a few times before but it's not possible to change the /forums portion of the URL.

Thanks Brogan, I expected this kind of reply but this is a a real show-stopper for us.

I can't oversee the technical difficulties that arise from making this part of the Url changeable but I hope this will change in one of the next releases.

When I say it's not possible, I mean from within the ACP or with an easy edit.

It's probably possible with an add-on and/or some code edits.
