XF 2.1 Getting a lot of spam, bots are bypassing reCaptcha v2

Is there any way to have both reCaptcha v2 AND some custom questions?

The biggest thing I would recommend is also obtaining an Akismet key. Before we enabled Akismet, we'd get at least 1 spammer a week, but since then there have only been 2-3 threads that slipped through.

There is a simple way: Use question & answer
Bots cannot bypass it provided the questions & answers are not solvable by simple searches(2+4 equals?).
Change them often.
