He dont want to see other rescources with the same name in the search.
I also cant understand it because the thread of the translation is completly in english and the addon is clearly linked to the orginal addon.
I often go over translation rescources to the orginal addon.

Well, that's the most bizarre thing I've ever heard. As an add-on developer I want as many people as possible to be able to use my add-ons. Anyone is free to translate any of my work into any language as long as it is only the phrases which are redistributed.
I can't think of a good reason I'd want to stop non-English speakers from being able to enjoy my add-ons.

I haven't talked with him about the reason but this is the reason who I got from the german xenforo board.
Yes but what about "We´re (XenForo) family"? I think it´s not a bad thing to see Add-ons translated. It´s more like a compliment for the Developer to see different Languages from an Add-on.Different people, different meanings ..
