MG 2.0 gallery view count not working

my gallery counters are not counting, what can I check to fix.

This is updated periodically via a cron entry. Check your cron list under Admin > Tools > Cron entries.

The cron entry that should be running is the one listed as "XFMG: Update view counters". Make sure it is enabled and has a sensical next run date/time.
