Funny looking emails

On my forum I am recently seeing a number of registrations where email addresses such as this one below are used to complete full registration:

barnettbz0kd4az@mail.com

These members are posting short and insignificant messages though by no means is there any spam

But they all seem to login roughly at the same time etc.

What could be going on here? Are these bots?

Or?

Anyone have any idea or information

That seems suspicious to me too. Check their messages to see if they're edited later to include links to something. Also look for URLs in their profile.

There is a place in the admin console where you can ban anyone from registering from websites that offer disposable emails. (Banned Emails) That will eliminate most of that type of abuse, IMO. I have about 5600 entries in mine, from a list I found on this forum some time ago.
mail.com is on that list, as a disposable email provider.

If you want to block the entire domain - enter *.mail.com .
