Hi there,

I move my vbulletin installation to XF but would like to keep my link structure. For example:

My VB Link for my traffic forums looks like:
http://myforumxyz.com/forum/traffic-forum

In XF with the current settings, it will look like:
http://myforumxyz.com/forums/forum/traffic-forum.9

XF adds an additional non existing forum path in the url, I dont know for what. I would like to get it as it was in my vb installation. Is that possible?

The URL includes the installation directory and the /forums route, like so: http://xenforo.com/community/forums/xenforo-questions-and-support.25/

Move the installation to the root to remove the /community, which is the installation directory.

You can't remove the /forums, but it can be changed in 1.2 with the Route Filters feature.

You can rename the route with this addon:

http://xenforo.com/community/resources/route-changer.447/

But it can't be completely removed. Alternatively you can move XF to the web root to remove the /forums directory which is separate from the route.
