XF 1.4 Forum View Permission issue.

So here is the issue.

I have a forum which I have made it so only the staff can see the threads and verify the information in them.

However, I want to make a thread in the section on my Admin account stating the 'format' of the the post people should use in there own posts.

Any way to do this?

You would need to do it via a notice, for example. There's no way to do it with a thread if the users can't view it.

Thanks for the information. Could something like this be added? Another section I was looking to make was a location where banned users could post, in order to appeal a ban that they recieved from a staff member, again I would like to post a template for it so it can be done as efficiently as possible. It would only be for posts made by an admin.

There is no "override permissions" function so the only way would be something like a notice or a link forum.
