XF 2.0 Forum Statistics

The Xenforo default Forum Statistics widget, does it usually take time to update the 'Welcome user' and the the 'Members' statistics? If so, why?

Just wondering as its the first time I am using the default one since I been using an add-on since day one and noticed its taking a little while.

The stats are cached for performance so yes it will take a bit of time to update.
