Formatting options not appearing as they should above the message box

Ok I just found a similar xf file in the js folder in root. All of the files are the same. I could just transfer the files there.
 
You could but I do not know what process they go though but make a quick backup and then upload them.
 
upload editor-compiled.js to the js/xf folder and see if the buttons still align strange.

It was only a temporary fix. The problem has come back again.

Instead of uploading the one js file, I uploaded all of them to the xf folder in the js folder. This fixed the formatting problem again, but when I came back all of the icons returned to their funny position.
 
Have you tried in other browsers to see if they are still messing up such as IE or Chrome?
 
I just tried uploading all the js files plus core folder into the xf and it doesn't work any more.
 
No It could be related only to firefox.

So after you uploaded the core, the website no longer works at all?
 
No, the website is fine, it's just that the rectangular "thread title" box above the threads in each subforum leaves the formatting options in that funny position every time you try to start a new thread.
