Food Fantasia

I am the same Peggy, I once had to be dashed to the ER with MSG reaction, fortunately it disapated after a fairly short time, but wow I thought I was going to die, I could barely breathe! Very careful about Take Out Asian food now.

And seaweed is great :D Do they have sushi rolls where you are? Great way to try seaweed!
I've been the the ER for it only once, which is how I discovered that I was allergic to it. I know that it's used in many foods, but in such small amounts that it doesn't bother me. But ANY time I eat asian food with MSG, wow, hits me like a steamroller. Near-migraine headache, swelling, etc. Thankfully my favorite chinese place doesn't use it at all.

uh they probably do have sushi rolls where I am, but I've not tried them. and likely won't.

It's Chipotle Mexican Grill Tonight - Chicken Bowl :)

Not sure what that is, but enjoy it!! :D

We had pasta last night, Jeff's favourite, Bacon, mushrooms, garlic, fresh tomatoes, onions and cream, with Tagliatelli

Forgot to get a pic, but it was actually quite enjoyable! :D

Maya loves it though. We started her on solid food about 3 weeks ago and so far she's devoured everything we've put in front of her :D

Chipotle - How would you pronounce that?

We have Crap Mexican food here, it just isn't a big thing like it is in the US, although there are plenty of so called "Mexican" restaurants here, they would be about last on my list of places to go out to.
That's because those mexican restaurants don't know how to cook them mexican foods right. And/Or are not natives of Mexico or similar latino countries. In fact, most crappy mexican places go out of business in no time. The ones that stay have been doing a good job of making their food. For example, I live in an area where Mexicans and latinos alike are PLENTIFUL. So, there really isn't a shortage of good mexican places to eat. We have at least 4 places that use the same name - but is of mexican heritage.

And damn if you do, damn if you DON'T: Find a really $#!^^y mexican place that makes you literally vomit within the hour.

Only twice I have.

Chipotle is a good place, but you won't find anything made by real latinos there. They may hire some latinos but you know retail chain.....s....

It's pronounced chee - po (long O) - tal

Thanks Peggy! :D

Well here is my version... bloody yummy!

I made a quick guacamole, cooked some white rice added finely diced red onion, garlic, red beans, lime juice, salt, corn kernals. And threw a half of a chicken breast in the oven with my own spice mix and a little EVOO. Topped with Plain yoghurt (instead of sour cream) and hot salsa.. mmmmm

Turned out really well, never going to be able to eat it all, lol and I don't think we will be having any dinner, but it was really yum, thanks iTun3R for the inspiration!!!
