Food Fantasia

That looks very yummy Ant :D
Thank you ..I am looking for those pictures I may have mentioned earlier of those chocolate pancakes I made with my niece ...I shall update if I do find them:)

..I always have so much catching up to do on this thread...I feel like the guy who is always late to dinner.

Hmmmm what's that in your mouth?

Let's see...tongue, teeth, some gums, saliva, a bit of onion breath, that little hangy thing at the back of my throat...

Yeah, I'm good! (y)

I won't eat good until Saturday, when my homework is done and I can cook again. Sunday, actually, may be a steak fajita day. Got a nice sirloin in the freezer, and a southwest rub that would be perfect on it.

See? I finally managed to make a recent post in this thread that isn't the product of my "dirty old man" mind. :D

Ok so I found three of them so far... It is chocolate pancakes from scratch with melted Hershey kisses. Basically you take them off the heat and as soon as they are plated you drop a bunch Hershey kisses around the pancake until they are softened a bit then you spread evenly with the back of a spoon. It is a simple and awesome desert type of thing and also great after the final step if you throw some vanilla bean ice cream on top.

The first pic is of the small one my niece wanted to do....ideally you would want to be doing one at a time and function like a factory line sort of thing....but when your letting a 2 year old "cook" her own pancake in order to entertain her creative side you kinda-hafta wing it. one melted and "we" spread the chocolate and dropped another on top...she was happy

This is the result of what you should be doing one at a time. While one is cooking the previous one gets "chocolized". Sorry I don't have complete instructions on how to do this YET (big keyword here) but please take into consideration the fact that it would be hard to document a cooking series while tending to a child's needs and wants. And while that would be tough by itself, I am not a father nor a chef :)

I wonder should I update this post with more pics of this event or if I should create a new poste...and for that matter should I update the original post that I mentioned chocolate pancakes in and link back to it? Ponder ponder ponder....

Thank you soooooooo much for that clarification there and ole McWinky immediately following. lol we wouldn't want people thinking I just go around shakin my hips everywhere now would we. In case you are loosely following this I will not be belly dancing no matter what Kim tells you ;) I will however compromise with a guide to making chocolate pancakes from scratch when I do get ambitious and that is a promise.:)

Gosh I can't believe it is the start of Easter tomorrow :o

We are going to my parents for lunch tomorrow as they would normally come up to our place for a few days, but due to my Dad just having had open heart surgery, it is a little bit quieter than usual this year.

I am currently making a batch of Hot Cross buns to take with us, the dough is raising right now, will be shaping and baking in the morning.

Anyone got any good Easter plans?
