Font size options via accounts > preferences

I'm looking for this kind of option. Is there an add-on, or can it be done via custom user fields?

some theme developers do offer it. i have seen it on themehouse themes. haven't seen any addon offering such a functionality though it might very well exist.

I tried to play with the custom user field to try add it in myself but couldn’t manage it!

Create a child theme with only the fonts larger or smaller. Call the themes Normal and Large Font, etc.

No way! That’s an unnecessary way of doing it.

I don't see the problem. Child themes are for keeping the same style while changing minor things.

It’s just not necessary when there’s a better approach to it, like actually adding to the preference page and having it in a drop down menu. It’s more convenient.

They can change themes in Preferences. I believe its a drop down. And all that would change is the font.

If you click Preferences in your settings "Style" is choice #1, drop down menu.

If you don't allow style choices already just change that menu language to Font Size and name the styles Regular and Large.

that would be a pretty solid workaround to offer different text sizes! i think a feature request already exist for xenforo to switch to em text sizing and offer user option to change text size.

Been thinking of doing it myself, with the more and more people requesting large fonts. Just haven't done it yet.
