When using the latest version of macOS and Safari, Font Awesome clips on the left side if the window isn't enlarged. As explained here:

I'll add images when I'm back on Mac, unless this's already a known bug.

Automated triage: Awaiting feedback

Thank you for reporting this issue. We couldn't find a general icon clipping problem in the code. Clipping like this usually depends on the specific icon and where it's shown, so we need a little more detail to look into this.

  • Which icons are clipped, and on which pages or parts of the page (for example the navigation bar, the alerts or messages icons, buttons, or thread list icons)? Screenshots would help most.
  • When you say the window isn't enlarged, do you mean browser zoom (Cmd +/−) or the width of the Safari window? At what size does the clipping stop?
  • Which macOS and Safari versions are you using, and is the display Retina or a standard-resolution external monitor?
  • Does it happen with the default XenForo style, and does it happen here on xenforo.com too?

This is an automated assessment. A member of staff may review and update it.

Dear @XF Bug Bot , please be less lazy and follow the link to the thread in the bug report. There, pretty much all the information you asked for is outlined in depth already. Some of it for years alredy, to say it politely.

Alternatively, a bug report should be posted once all of the available information can be provided. Bot or not, it's not a respectful use of people's time (be that a bot, human staff, or users who might find the bug report relevant to them) to have to go and look for information that should have been provided in the first place :)

As it happens, I've tested it myself on the latest Safari and macOS 27.0.1 with and without a default style, with and without browser zoom, so I have answered all of the questions myself and I am unable to reproduce.

If the problem persists, please post a new bug report correctly with much more clear information when all of that information is available.

At the moment I have to assume it's something specific to the system itself that is not default.

Sorry @Chris D, I agree with you. I should have included screenshots, more information, etc. with my post.
