Following someone...

Ok, one more thread for today.

If I'm following someone, should I not be alerted about that persons activity? What is the purpose of following someone if you're not alerted to his/her activities?

Unless I'm missing something, I'm following two people but have never seen any alerts as to what they have recently done.

I think I found it. It's under "Your news feed". But still, wouldnt alerts be better?

no. i think this is better- you would receive hundreds of alerts each day
make the leatest feeds appear in the sidebar would be better

I agree... The functionality of "people you follow" is limited. Showing people I follow in bold letters is not very useful.

Maybe add it to the top, next to alerts? Something like 'your news'? Obviously you don't want that area too busy, but I don't see adding it to the top, just like 'alerts' would do that.
