If you visit, for example, http://xenforo.com/community/members/jeremy-p.450/follow, replacing the User ID with your own, you are presented with a page with a checkbox asking if you want to follow yourself.
Checking the box and submitting the form has no effect, but much like liking your own content displays an error message I feel this should as well.
