Add-on Filter to highlight certain posts in threads...

My forum is very news oriented. Currently, there is a sports discussion about hiring a new head coach for a team our forum supports. There is a lot of news about this but pages and pages of people arguing over who would be a better coach to hire, etc.

I've long desired the ability to highlight certain posts so that a user could click on the thread, hit a button, and then only see posts that are part of a certain category. Say posts that contain media (Twitter embeds, videos, etc.) or are marked by an admin/user to be actual news and not just people bickering.

People have suggested Threadmarks by x0n (IIRC) and a few other add-ons but, to my knowledge, this does not currently exist. I also find it wild because it would be an incredibly useful feature for people to be able to look through threads for pertinent information and then click back to reading people arguing with each other.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance for any help.

Threadmarks in your only option.

For a threaded thread (not native to Xenforo), the best subthreads move to the top. Like Reddit. I think one addon does it.

This would be something you want.

Thanks. I'd looked at threadmarks before but sadly, the complexity of it is probably too complicated for my older forum audience. I think you can kind of accomplish what threadmarks does with reader mode but again, lot of stuff to click for a forum base that averages like 70 years old.

Still looking for this. I did have someone reach out who quoted me $2,000 to develop this so uhh I'm looking to spend quite a bit less than that.
