Design issue File Uploads Through Proxy Fails

Where I work, we have to connect to the net via a proxy. When I try to upload a file, I'll get a prompt for my proxy credentials. Upon entering them, the whole browser locks up. This happens with vBulletin, too, just for added info.

This is probably down to a really annoying Flash bug, that sends things via IE, effectively. What browser are you using?

I'm using Firefox, but that is exactly what's happening. I get an IE prompt for credentials.

Is it possible to enable browser-only uploading? (non flash)
