I have made a start on some FAQ threads.

I know a lot of people don't read stickies (me included ;)) so I'm posting here just to raise awareness :)

Main FAQ: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/frequently-asked-questions.5183/

Pre-sales FAQ: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/pre-sales-faq.4951/

Support FAQ: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/support-faq.4954/

If you see a post/thread from anyone which is related to one of the questions on either of those threads, please direct them accordingly. That would help us immensely.

If you would like to see any additions to either of the FAQs, please post here.

Thanks.

I would like to suggest, "How do I compare old and new templates after an upgrade." I thought that was on here somewhere but I can't find it in a search.

I have made some major updates to the FAQ threads.

Support: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/support-faq.4954/
Pre-Sales: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/pre-sales-faq.4951/
Main FAQ: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/frequently-asked-questions.5183/

Please can you direct others to them and it will hopefully cut down on the number of repeated threads and questions, as well as hopefully acting as a useful resource.

I've got a few more things to add and I'll also be doing sections on template syntax and conditionals.

If there’s anything else you think needs adding or correcting, please post here.

Alternatively you could ask kier/mike to do something like this on the support forums thread_list:

HTML:
<p class="importantMessage">
Before posting a thread, please see the following support threads:
Support: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/support-faq.4954/
Pre-Sales: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/pre-sales-faq.4951/
Main FAQ: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/how-do-i.5183/
</p>

"Why do banned users still show as normal members and appear in the member list?
This is the designed behaviour. If required, you can create a usergroup for banned members and add them to it."

Not sure what the last sentence means, but I found this to be a problem for us so I found a solution to not show banned members on the member list by changing their status to 'Awaiting Approval'.

The last sentence is simply for those who want to apply a user title of Banned - they can create a group with higher priority styling and add them to it.
I'll reword it to make it clearer.

If you want to remove them from the list then yes, you can change their status.
